Shulou(Shulou.com)11/24 Report--
CTOnews.com March 15, NASA (NASA) and the U.S. Department of Energy (DOE) are working together to develop the LuSEE-Night project. The project plans to build radio telescopes on the moon to help scientists peek into the universe's ancient past and unveil the Dark Ages (Dark Ages of the Universe).
Paul O'Connor, An Germane Slosar and Sven Herrmann (from left to right) developed the LuSEE-Night project CTOnews.com in Brookhaven's instrument lab. Note: the "Dark Ages" refers to the first stars and galaxies to appear in the vast universe between about 380,000 and 400 million years after the Big Bang.
Asmeret Asefaw Berhe, director of the Department of Energy's Office of Science, said: "LuSEE-Night is a fascinating experiment that will bring us closer to observing what we have never been able to observe before, that is, signals of the Dark Ages. Through this collaboration, DOE and NASA are creating conditions for the successful exploration of Dark Age cosmology in the coming decades."
