Us operator T-Mobile announces acquisition of Mint mobile phone brand owned by Deadpool

CTOnews.com March 16 news, the United States telecom operator T-Mobile recently announced the acquisition of Mint Mobile mobile phone brand. Mint Mobile is an affordable smartphone brand promoted and supported by Deadpool actor Ryan Reynolds.

Reynolds also invited Mike Sievert, chief executive of T-Mobile, to produce a promotional video to inform clients of upcoming acquisitions.

CTOnews.com learned from the report that T-Mobile spent $1.35 billion (including 39 per cent cash and 61 per cent stock) to acquire Ka'ena Corporation, the parent company of Mint Mobile, Ultra Mobile and Plum. The final purchase price will be determined after the deal is completed later this year.

T-Mobile is acquiring Mint Mobile's sales, marketing, digital and services businesses and says it will use T-Mobile 's supplier relationships and distribution scale to help Mint Mobile grow.
