OpenAI will reportedly work with payment company Stripe, which provides payment and subscription services for its artificial intelligence tools such as ChatGPT, in an attempt by OpenAI to make a profit after capturing the public imagination, Beijing time.

This week, OpenAI released the latest version of GPT-4 technology, saying that Stripe will provide billing and checkout functions for payments, as well as automation and tax compliance technology.

In February, the company launched a $20-a-month premium subscription service for the first time, after its chat robot attracted widespread public interest.

David Singleton, Stripe's chief technology officer, said Stripe would draw a small portion of transactions through OpenAI's platforms.

The partnership also means that Stripe will integrate OpenAI's new technologies into its own products and services, and Stripe is currently testing 14 GPT infrastructures.

This is good news for Stripe. The company was valued at about $50 billion in its latest fundraising round, down sharply from $95 billion at the beginning of 2021.
