CTOnews.com March 20, last week Microsoft released a "Patch Tuesday" update for Windows 11 22H2, in which Moment 2 was pushed to all users, and according to feedback from some users, the update may cause SSD or other boot drives to slow down.

Reddit user mesp21 said his NVMe SSD speed has more than halved, from rated 7000MB/s to 3000MB/s. When you revert to the previous version of the system, the problem seems to be resolved.

This comment has received a lot of approval, which means that at least some users have encountered similar problems. Some users replied that their games loaded significantly slower and had "stutter" problems after installing the "patch Tuesday" update.

CTOnews.com noticed that a user "Mrbigdog99" also posted a screenshot showing the results of running CrystalDiskMark before and after the update, and the sequential write speed did decrease significantly:

Another user said he had encountered a similar problem, such as a slow boot time, but this happened during the first Moment 2 update (KB5022913).

Microsoft has previously confirmed that a similar bug with slower file replication has been fixed in Moment 2, but the latest problem may be a completely new one.
