Apple's first Apple Store store in India will open in Mumbai in April, followed by a second store in New Delhi.

It is reported that Mumbai's Apple Store, located at the Jim World Drive shopping mall and covering an area of 22000 square feet (CTOnews.com Note: about 2043.8 square meters), will become a new landmark similar to Apple Store in Los Angeles, New York and Singapore.

The second, smaller 10000-12000-square-foot Apple Store at the Select CityWalk mall in New Delhi is expected to open between April and June, a few days after the store opens in Mumbai, according to the newspaper's sources. Apple began hiring staff for its stores in January.
