CTOnews.com, March 24 (Xinhua)-- the feud between Epic Games and Apple began with the initial 30% commission dispute and expanded as both companies promoted the AR / VR platform. Tim Sweeney, chief executive of Epic, recently warned developers in the AR / VR sector to be wary of Apple's actions.

Tuyuan Flicker Sweeney said in an interview with GamesIndustry that Epic will not build another "walled garden". The "walled garden" here refers to the fact that Apple has built a closed application ecology on iPhone and iPad devices through App Store.

The interview with Sweeney, translated by CTOnews.com, is as follows:

Apple will either try to smash meta-universe or squeeze all the profits out of it without being in the middle.

Just as Apple does not allow you to use an unofficial browser engine, Apple requires developers to use the official virtual world engine, and developers cannot build their own or use other engines such as illusory engines.

In order to achieve this goal, Apple can even change its policies. This is the main reason why I call for the need to strengthen the anti-monopoly law, and why we strive to fight against it.
