Thanks to CTOnews.com netizens Hua Linglong and South China Daniel Wu for their clue delivery! CTOnews.com March 27, according to foreign technology media WccfTech reports, Qualcomm Snapdragon 8 Gen 4 processor will be mass-produced by TSMC's N3E process, that is, the second generation 3nm production process.

It is reported that Qualcomm abandoned ARM's CPU design on the Snapdragon 8 Gen 4 processor and switched to its own custom Oryon core scheme, which can improve multicore performance by up to 40% compared to the Snapdragon 8 Gen 3 processor.

It is reported that Qualcomm Snapdragon 8 Gen 4 has two "Nuvia Phoenix" performance cores and six "Nuvia Phoenix M" efficiency cores. Nuvia is the name of the company that Qualcomm acquired and used to develop customized CPU.

Revegnus tweeted that Qualcomm Snapdragon 8 Gen 3 scored 1800 points for single core and 6500 points for multi-core performance in the Geekbench 5 benchmark.

In the GeekBench 5 benchmark running score test of Qualcomm Snapdragon 8 Gen 4, the single core performance was 2070 and the multi-core performance was 9100. CTOnews.com note: Qualcomm Snapdragon 8 Gen 4's multicore score can exceed M2 in the same test. M2 currently has a multicore score of between 8800 and 9000 in GeekBench 5.
