Realization of batch production of liquid oxygen tank with 3m full bottom of long 5 rocket booster module

CTOnews.com, March 27, China Aerospace Science and Technology Corporation issued a document on the official account that the 3-meter full-bottom liquid oxygen storage tank of the long March V carrier rocket booster module developed by the 149th factory of the eighth Academy of China Aerospace Science and Technology Group Co., Ltd. has been successfully closed and removed from the shelf, realizing batch production.

CTOnews.com learned from the article that the batch production and removal of the tank marks a new era of efficient production of carrier rocket tanks, upgrading from "block forming + assembly welding" production mode to integrated tank bottom production mode; it means that the plant is the first to have the overall bottom tank batch production capacity of more than 3 meters in China, and the production efficiency has increased by 80%.
