Zoom introduces OpenAI productivity features and launches digital assistant

On the morning of March 28, Beijing time, cloud video conferencing platform Zoom announced a partnership with OpenAI to add new features to its productivity application, including a new AI digital assistant. This digital assistant can handle tasks such as summarizing chat conversations, generating email and meeting content.

But Zoom did not specify how to use OpenAI's software, but described it as part of a broader push for AI, including a machine learning model designed by Zoom itself.

Earlier this month, Salesforce, a service provider of customer relationship management software, announced EinsteinGPT--, a set of generative artificial intelligence based on OpenAI, the spanning AI customer relationship management technology. Both Salesforce and Zoom seem eager to take advantage of the excitement of ChatGPT without making their AI features look mundane by comparison.

Both Microsoft and Google recently announced the addition of generative artificial intelligence to their products, and the digital assistant announced by Zoom could help the company consolidate its position as a productivity platform on a par with the two companies. In addition, Zoom has launched new software that allows users to access their Google and Microsoft emails within Zoom apps.
