Firmware version 1.0.3.1 includes the following:
Improved image quality of Canon Log 3 when shooting in XF-AVC or MP4 format.
Note:
Use 512MB or larger SD / SDHC / SDXC memory cards for firmware updates.
Suitable for cameras with firmware version 1.0.0.1-1.0.2.1. Cameras with firmware version 1.0.3.1 do not need to be updated. After the camera is updated to the latest version, it cannot be restored to the previous version.
Do not load configuration data created with the latest version of firmware into products with older firmware versions. Otherwise, it may affect the operation of the product.
Firmware updates must be performed in VIDEO mode.

It is recommended that you save the menu settings and Custom Picture settings to a separate SD memory card (not the SD memory card used for this firmware update) before performing the firmware update.
