Wang Xiaochuan, a former Sogou CEO who founded an artificial intelligence company, once said that "China needs its own OpenAI."
CTOnews.com March 29 news, recently, five Seasons Intelligence (Beijing) Technology Co., Ltd. was established, the legal representative is Sogou founder Wang Xiaochuan, registered capital of 5 million yuan, the scope of business includes artificial intelligence application software development; artificial intelligence mass entrepreneurship and innovation service platform; artificial intelligence theory and algorithm software development; artificial intelligence general application system; artificial intelligence public data platform; artificial intelligence hardware sales.
Shareholder information shows that the company is jointly owned by Wang Xiaochuan and Ru Liyun.
CTOnews.com found that Wang Xiaochuan made a rare voice about ChatGPT in February this year, and admitted that he was in "rapid preparation" in response to the news that 36 krypton would return to start a business to build a big model of AI.
The success of OpenAI is, first of all, the victory of technological idealism. China needs its own OpenAI, so it needs technological idealism. Large companies are limited to their own business traction, and start-ups chasing capital hotspots are even more out of shape. Not only that, this idealism also requires patriotism, business acumen and academic respect to gain government support and promote corporate alliances and academic collaboration. I believe that China can produce its own OpenAI.
It is worth mentioning that Wang Xiaochuan's early experience was a proper "young genius". He was admitted to Chengdu No. 7 Middle School for winning the first prize in the National Mathematical League. After that, he was recruited into the computer Department of Tsinghua University for winning the gold medal in the International Olympiad Informatics Competition, and then gradually grew into the founder of Sogou as we know it. In addition, Wang Xiaochuan co-founded the Tiangong Intelligent Computing Institute of Tsinghua University and served as co-dean. He is also a member of the computer Science Advisory Committee of Tsinghua University.
