CTOnews.com, March 30, according to the latest statistics reported by Atlas, Apple overtook Samsung in January-February 2023 to become the largest mobile phone maker with market share.

Atlas says Samsung has been dominant for years, but the gap between Apple and Samsung is narrowing. Although Samsung remains the industry leader in 2022, Apple's mobile phone market share surpassed Samsung by 0.2 percentage points in October, and Apple has surpassed Samsung for the second month in a row after entering 2023.

In January, Apple's share was 27.6%, while Samsung's market share was 27.09%. Apple's share was 27.1% in February, while Samsung's market share was 26.75%.

CTOnews.com learned from the report that there are about 6.84 billion smartphone users worldwide, of whom 1.85 billion use iPhone,18.2 and 100 million choose Samsung. These are just estimates. Some people have multiple phones and may use both Apple and Samsung phones.

Xiaomi's market share was 12.29 per cent in February, compared with 6.86 per cent for OPPO. Huawei's smartphone market share has fluctuated over the past six months, up from 4.84 per cent last month.
