Microsoft 365 Copilot helps users write documents in Word, analyze data or reports in Excel, create presentations in PowerPoint, and more.
Foreign technology media Windows Latest shared the early version of "Copilot for Word" for Win10 and Win11 in the latest report. Microsoft currently only invites a small number of Office Word for Insiders (Beta Channel) users to test, and some functions are currently not working properly.
Microsoft describes Copilot for Word as "a new way to work smarter and faster. This private preview is only available for select Microsoft 365 Enterprise customers."

Copilot for Word has two prompts: "Start a document" and "Just write about it."
These two tips perform largely the same task--writing a completely new document or changing an existing document based on your input. Because it is not yet perfect, Word AI often fails to work properly and throws an error message stating that it cannot understand the request.
