"PHS" withdraws from the Japanese market

Handheld wireless phone, also known as "PHS" in China, has withdrawn from the mainstream communication market and has been mentioned in the recent popular TV series "Storm".
The Japanese TV series Softbank Corp. of ▲ Tuyuan officially terminated its PHS service on March 31. The service was commercially available in 1995, and by 1997, PHS had about 7 million users in Japan at a price lower than that for mobile phones.
Softbank Corp. ended voice calls and e-mail services for ordinary wireless local phone users as early as the end of January 2021, while the retained vending machine sales revenue management and credit card settlement services for coin-operated parking lots were completely terminated on March 31.
