CTOnews.com April 4 news, according to foreign technology media Windows Central reports, Microsoft's upcoming third-generation Surface Dock docking station has been auctioned on the eBay platform.

The source said that the device, which has an internal code name "Bergamo", will be further downsized and upgraded with ThunderBolt 4 ports, and proprietary Surface Connect cables will be replaced with regular USB-C ports. Microsoft is expected to launch the docking station in the coming weeks.

CTOnews.com Note: Microsoft first launched the first Surface Dock docking station in 2013. Microsoft then redesigned the docking station in 2015, changing it to a Surface Connect port to be compatible with Surface devices.

According to the exposed photos, the upcoming Surface Dock is a completely new design and is thinner than Surface Dock 2. It has USB-An and USB-C ports on the front and the same ports as Surface Dock 2 on the back: it includes two USB-C ports, two USB-A ports, a 3.5mm headphone Jack, an Ethernet port and an DC connector.
