CTOnews.com April 6 news, Ziguang Zhanrui announced today that it has joined forces with China Mobile Zhejiang Company, China Mobile Research Institute and terminal companies and other ecological partners to complete the global live network first call of 5G new calls based on IMS Data Channel (data channel) in Hangzhou, and realize screen sharing and home smart call scene calls in Guangzhou and Hangzhou respectively, marking that 5G new calls move from network to terminal and enter a new stage in an all-round way.

According to introduction, 5G new call is a series of enhanced services and innovative applications based on VoNR / VoNR + technology, which can provide users with a brand-new experience of full HD, interactive, intelligent, interesting and virtualized. In April 2022, China Mobile officially released 5G new call products, becoming the world's first telecom operator of this service.

According to Ziguang Zhanrui, in November 2022, Ziguang Zhanrui completed the development of IMS DC technical scheme and took the lead in entering the first batch of laboratory verification links in the industry. On the eve of Pakistan Exhibition in 2023, Ziguang Zhanrui, together with China Mobile Research Institute and Terminal Company, took the lead in completing the end-to-end IMS DC based basic capability verification of 5G new calls in the new call laboratory of China Mobile Research Institute, becoming the first chip manufacturer in the world to complete IMS DC laboratory network verification.

The development of 5G new call technology is divided into three stages:

1. IMS Data Chanel technical verification: The terminal has passed the functional verification of typical scenarios under the real network, and it has been proved that the chip has DC basic capability.

2. 5G multimedia interactive call scene support: load operator webpage Mini programs on the call interface to bring multimedia interactive call experience to users. Scenes such as calling card, content sharing, screen sharing, AR fun call, voice-to-text, intelligent customer service, intelligent home terminal interaction, etc. will be verified one by one on Zhanrui chip terminal in the future.

3. 5G innovative service portal: IMS DC-based 5G call technology will become the portal of 5G innovative services, supporting operators, Internet and enterprise customers to continuously introduce 5G application scenario innovation, expanding services from 2C to 2B innovative services, thus enabling operators, chip and terminal manufacturers to obtain broader market space and laying a foundation for future support of XR communication technology scenarios.
