CTOnews.com April 7, Samsung announced today that it will stop supporting and updating Galaxy S10e, Galaxy S10, Galaxy S10 +, Galaxy A50 and Galaxy A30 phones.

Samsung launched the Galaxy S10 series in 2019, with an official commitment to provide it with a four-year update. CTOnews.com note: Samsung will not stop updating all models in the series. Galaxy S105G and Galaxy S10 Lite will continue to receive quarterly security updates.

Samsung updated its system upgrade policy last year, extending the update period for its flagship devices by one year. Smartphone users can now get five years of security updates and four years of new "major" operating system versions. However, this only applies to smartphones starting with Galaxy S21.
