According to reports on the evening of April 7, Beijing time, Apple's revenue in Ireland rose to $222.8 billion last year (CTOnews.com Note: currently about 1.53 trillion yuan), while pre-tax profit increased to $69.3 billion (currently about 476.784 billion yuan).

This document was submitted by Apple International Operations Co., Ltd. in Ireland and its international subsidiaries (hereinafter referred to as "Apple Ireland"). Apple's pre-tax profit in Ireland reached $69.3 billion last year, up from $67.7 billion in 2021 (currently about 465.776 billion yuan), according to the documents.

By contrast, Apple's revenue in fiscal 2022 was $394.3 billion (currently about 2.71 trillion yuan) and net profit was $99.8 billion (currently about 686.624 billion yuan).

At the same time, Apple Ireland remitted $20.7 billion (currently about 142.416 billion yuan) to its parent company, compared with $25.3 billion in 2021 (currently about 174.064 billion yuan). The document also shows that Apple Ireland had operating expenses of $26.9 billion (currently about 185.072 billion yuan) in the fiscal year to the end of September 2022.

Apple has been operating in Ireland since 1980 and has grown into one of the country's largest employers. In 2022, Apple Ireland had an average of 56639 full-time employees, an increase of about 4000 over 2021.

It is worth mentioning that Apple's tax arrangements in Ireland face controversy. In August 2016, the European Commission ruled that the Irish government offered illegal tax breaks to Apple, requiring Apple to pay 13.1 billion euros ($14.3 billion, currently about 98.381 billion yuan) in unpaid taxes.

But in July 2020, Europe's second Supreme Court rejected the EU's ruling, saying the European Commission had failed to prove that Ireland's tax arrangement with Apple was illegal state aid. Subsequently, the European Commission filed an appeal.
