CTOnews.com, April 7, the State Administration of Market Supervision issued a document that Guangzhou Auto Honda Automobile Co., Ltd. and Dongfeng Honda Automobile Co., Ltd. in accordance with the requirements of the regulations on the recall of defective Automobile products and the measures for the implementation of the regulations on the recall of defective Automobile products, filed the recall plan with the State Administration of Market Supervision and Administration, and decided to recall the following vehicles from now on.

Guangzhou Auto Honda Motor Co., Ltd.: recall a total of 224476 gasoline Accord cars produced during the period from October 9, 2020 to December 6, 2022.

Dongfeng Honda Motor Co., Ltd.: recall a total of 31020 gasoline versions of INSPIRE series cars produced between January 6, 2021 and November 24, 2022.

CTOnews.com learned from the article that due to the reasons set by the vehicle incident data recording system (EDR), the vehicles within the scope of this recall did not record the data used to detect whether the driver pressed the brake pedal, resulting in incomplete EDR records. Guangzhou Auto Honda Motor Co., Ltd. and Dongfeng Honda Motor Co., Ltd. will upgrade the EDR system of vehicles within the recall range free of charge to repair the EDR system function.
