CTOnews.com, April 9, according to a report by Taiwan's "Central News Agency", ASML invested heavily in Taiwan and applied to Taiwan's "Ministry of Economic Affairs" for A + enterprise R & D subsidy for the research and manufacture of 2-nanometer wafer optical measurement equipment. The report pointed out that the Asma application will enter the second stage of substantive review. Taiwan's "Ministry of Economic Affairs" said that it is expected that the final examination meeting will be held in May, and the amount of subsidy will also be clear at that time.

ASML announced last year that it would expand its investment in Taiwan and plan to build a factory in Linkou, with a first-phase investment of NT $30 billion and about 2000 employees. Moreover, ASML submitted an application to Taiwan's "Ministry of Economic Affairs" last year to subsidize the research and development of 2-nanometer wafer optical measurement equipment, which has been accepted by the Ministry of Economic Affairs. According to regulations, once the examination is passed, the proportion of government subsidy will not exceed 50%.

The "A + Enterprise Innovation R & D and hardening Program" of Taiwan's "Ministry of Economic Affairs" aims to subsidize enterprises to carry out innovative R & D and forward-looking industrial technology development, with an annual budget of about NT $2 billion (CTOnews.com Note: about RMB 450 million), the program attracts large international companies to Taiwan for R & D and production, and helps enterprises in the region to enter the supply chain of front-end equipment.
