Apple strengthens its operations in India: renting a 116888-square-foot office building for 10 years

CTOnews.com, April 11 (Xinhua)-- Apple has signed a 10-year lease to rent an office building in Bangalore's central business district, according to local media The Hindu Businessline.

According to registration documents provided by data analysis company Propstack, Apple rented the third floor of the office building and parts of the other two floors, covering an area of 116888 square feet (CTOnews.com Note: about 10859 square meters) and renting for 2440 million rupees (CTOnews.com Note: currently about 2.0482 million yuan)

Apple has recently been beefing up its operations in India, and the company is restructuring the management of its international operations to make India a sales area for Apple hosts.

Apple is promoting its head of India, Ashish Chowdhary, and will now report directly to Michael Fenger, Apple's head of product sales.
