CTOnews.com April 11, Microsoft announced in November last year that it will adjust its Microsoft 365 service to include Outlook mailbox attachments in OneDrive storage space. The change took effect in February this year, and many Outlook users recently reported that they were unable to send / receive certain emails.

CTOnews.com Note: prior to taking effect, Microsoft Microsoft 365 provided 15GB storage quota for each Outlook account, while after the new rules came into effect, email attachments and picture content were included in OneDrive's 5GB storage space.

Previously provided storage quota for 15GB

The storage quota that exceeds 5GB is currently displayed. According to the foreign science and technology media The Register report, users cannot send and receive email after occupying 5GB free storage space.

Microsoft is now warning users about this update in its support documentation, confirming that it may affect their cloud storage availability and email capabilities. The file also recommends that users check their storage usage, delete unwanted files, or purchase additional storage space when needed.
