The ship is owned by MOBY Line Shipping Company of Italy, a country along the "Belt and Road Initiative" route. The project signed a construction contract in June 2019, and a total of two ships are planned to be built. The "MOBY FANTASY" has a displacement of more than 70000 gross tons, a captain of 237m, a width of 33m, a total of 13 decks and 533 guest rooms, and can carry 2500 passengers and nearly 800cars.

CTOnews.com learned that the ship's superstructure covers an area of about 16000 square meters, of which the area of various restaurants and entertainment places for tourists' leisure reaches about 6700 square meters, which is comparable to that of luxury cruise ships. The cable used on board is nearly 1000 kilometers long from end to end, which is equivalent to the distance from Guangzhou to Chongqing.

With a service speed of about 23.5 knots, the ship can sail at a high speed of up to 25 knots at very low fuel consumption. The ship is equipped with the latest mixed scrubber system to ensure that the flue gas emitted meets the requirements of clean and environmental protection; liquefied natural gas (LNG) propulsion function interface is reserved to further reduce ship pollutant emissions.
