CTOnews.com, April 15 (Xinhua)-- according to a list published by the U.S. Trademark and Patent Office (USPTO), Apple recently obtained a technology patent for Siri voice assistant, numbered US 20230112859 A1.

The patent, called "Assistant for recommended contacts", aims to make Siri, a voice assistant on iPhone and iPad, smarter and better understand users' call requests.

Apple said that the current Siri can respond to voice commands from users. In the actual scenario, users will use nicknames, or only a small number of contact fields such as first and last names, as well as similar pronunciation, will not be correctly identified.

CTOnews.com learned from the patent that Apple has conceived an improved contact calling system that can handle users' natural language and identify contacts more intelligently and accurately through the association between name references and contact identifiers.
