CTOnews.com April 19 news, Bloomberg reported that Alibaba's grocery division "Box Ma Xiansheng" is working with CICC, Morgan Stanley and other preparations for listing, hoping to list in Hong Kong next year. Box horse side to the interface news said, to the market rumors temporarily no more comments.

The discussions are ongoing: whether to list, when to list, valuations and final advisory line-up haven't been settled, people familiar with the matter said.

Box Horse was established in 2016 and had more than 270 self-operated stores in China as of March 31,2022. In January last year, Box Horse considered financing at a valuation of $10 billion (CTOnews.com Note: currently about 68.8 billion yuan); in January this year, Hou Yi, president of Box Horse, announced that Box Horse was "profitable at the end of 7 years."

Last month, Alibaba announced its spin-off into "1+6+N": 1 Alibaba Group main body;6 business groups, namely Alibaba Cloud Intelligence, Taobao Tmall Commerce, Local Life, Cainiao, International Digital Commerce, Grand Entertainment; and N separate business companies such as Box Horse, Ali Health, Yintai Commerce, Gaoxin Retail and Quark.

It is worth mentioning that at the end of last month there were rumors that the rookie plans to list in Hong Kong, possibly as early as the end of the year. In response, the rookie said there was no clear plan or timetable.
