CTOnews.com, April 20 (Xinhua) Apple's iPadOS 16 released last year lacked a key feature of iOS 16: a new lock screen. According to foreign technology media MacWorld, Apple plans to introduce various lock screen features in iPadOS 17, including information screen display (always on display).

Mark Goolman has said that iPadOS 17 will lay the software foundation for iPad Pro with OLED panels. This may mean that iPadOS 17 will bring a personalized lock screen interface to iPad.

The iPad with OLED panel will adopt a variety of new processes, such as double stack series structure (Two Stack Tandem light emitting layer is two layers), low temperature polyoxide (LTPO) thin film transistor (TFT hybrid), OLED structure (glass substrate + thin film package) and so on.

CTOnews.com previously reported that LG Display is developing 11-inch and 13-inch iPad OLED models, while Samsung displays are only for 11-inch models. According to the future demand of Apple, LG Display and Samsung display may make some business adjustments.
