Ningde Times announced on August 12 last year that it would build a factory in Hungary. The factory is located in the eastern city of Debrecen, with a planned production capacity of 100GWh and an investment of 7.34 billion euros. After completion, it will become the largest battery factory in Europe.

Foreign media mentioned in the report that the head of the Ningde Times Hungary project revealed that after the factory is put into operation, it will simultaneously produce cells and battery packs, and will also become a service center for European automobile manufacturers, supplying batteries to nearly 30 brands including BMW, Volkswagen and Mercedes-Benz.

The Hungarian battery factory planned to start construction in summer is the second battery factory in Europe in Ningde era. They currently have a production base in Erfurt, Thuringia, Germany. It is a project integrating R & D, testing and production.
