CTOnews.com April 21, SK Hynix announced in January this year that it has successfully developed the world's fastest mobile DRAM LPDDR5T. Now, Cadence has announced interoperability with SK Hynix 9600Mbps LPDDR5T Mobile DRAM.

Kaden Electronics said that its silicon-verified Cadence LPDDR5X memory interface IP and SK Hynix's LPDDR5T (Turbo) mobile DRAM can interact faster than the LPDDR5X standard.

Sungsoo Ryu, vice president of product planning for SK Hynix DRAM, said SK's LPDDR5 Turbo Mobile DRAM opened up new possibilities not only for smartphones, but also for artificial intelligence, machine learning and augmented reality / virtual reality applications. Proving that the product can interact with Cadence's memory interface IP means that it is a critical step to support customers who lock in the running speed of 9600Mbps.

According to CTOnews.com 's previous report, SK Hynix plans to use the fourth generation 10nm (1a) process to promote mass production in the second half of this year.

SK Hynix launched Mobile DRAM LPDDR5X in November last year, with a speed of 8.5Gbps, which is now used in mobile phone products.
