Sources say Apple is targeting the next sherlock target: diary apps such as Day One.

CTOnews.com, April 22 (Xinhua)-- in order to expand its influence in the health field, Apple plans to launch a Day One-style note-taking app on iPhone to make it easier for users to organize their daily activities, according to the Wall Street Journal.

The report needs to be read for a fee. MacRumors, a foreign science and technology media, has excerpted some of the content, and CTOnews.com translated it as follows:

The diary app created by Apple will compete head-on with apps such as Day One, allowing users to track and record their activities and thoughts.

Apple's launch of the diary app shows that the company is paying more and more attention to the mental health market.

According to the information available so far, the diary app is code-named Jurassic to help users track their daily lives.

The application can analyze the user's behavior, gain insight into the user's preferences, know what kind of scenarios the user likes to stay in, and so on.

The app also has built-in rich personalized features to highlight a variety of different themes such as exercise. The app also offers "networking of the day" (All Day People Discovery) to learn about users' social activities.

The New York Times disclosed Apple's "sherlock" behavior in 2019, in which Apple poached employees and technology from smaller potential competitors, integrated the ideas of third-party developers, and left third-party apps "nowhere to go." Diary apps such as Day One may have become Apple's next sherlock target.
