CTOnews.com, April 24 (Xinhua)-- Dutch company Fairphone is famous for making repairable mobile phones that receive long-term technical support and are at least partly made of ethical materials. A few years ago, Fairphone launched a true wireless headset that costs 100 euros (CTOnews.com Note: currently about 758 yuan), expanding its business into accessories.

Now it looks like Fairphone will soon launch a new Fairbuds XL headset to expand its audio product line.

Information about the upcoming Fairbuds XL headset, model HEAD-1ZW, which supports Bluetooth 5.0 connectivity to smartphones, PC and other devices, is available on the Bluetooth SIG website and is expected to sell for between $200 (currently about 1380 yuan) and $260 (currently about 1794 yuan) on the European market.

Fairphone will offer a variety of color options, and the preview image shows a pair of green headphones with padded headbands and several buttons on one side of the headset.

Fairbuds XL headphones are expected to be available only in Europe, and so far, Fairphone's mobile phones, headphones and other products (including mobile phone spare parts) have been sold only in that region.
