CTOnews.com, April 26 (Xinhua)-- "Sand Dunes 2," based on a classic science fiction novel of the same name, will be released in North America on November 3, with director Dennis Villenueva, Timothy Charamay and Zandaya among others.

At the same time, Warner Bros. announced on CinemaCon that "Dunes 2" will be shot entirely with IMAX cameras. Only 40% of the previous film was shot in this format, which will bring a better picture effect.

Director Villenueva said: "the first Sand Dunes is more like a contemplative film, and the second is a war movie full of action and epic, with a much more intensive plot. We went to a lot of new places, and I don't want to feel repetitive. Everything is new."
