Shortly after the establishment of Wanda Automobile, Wang Jianlin poached Li Hongpeng, a veteran of the automobile industry. Li Hongpeng, a former senior executive at Mercedes-Benz, Ford China, Hyundai Motor and other companies in Beijing, officially joined Wanda Automotive Technology Service Co., Ltd. in January 2022 as president, responsible for the diversified operation of Wanda Automobile.

Recently, Wanda Automotive Technology Service Co., Ltd. has undergone industrial and commercial changes, and the enterprise name has been changed to Taiqing (Zhuhai) Automotive Technology Service Co., Ltd. Dalian Wanda Group Co., Ltd. withdrew from the ranks of shareholders and added a new shareholder, Shandong Taiyue Industrial Group Co., Ltd. This also means that Wang Jianlin officially abandoned Wanda Automobile and was taken over by Taiyue Group, a red flag dealer.

At the same time as Wanda changed its name, Li Hongpeng, a trader who has been with Wanda for only a year, has also left. He joined Gaohe Automobile in 2023 as chairman of the marketing business.
