CTOnews.com April 28 news, according to Bloomberg News, Apple and Masimo patent infringement case has entered the jury, the judge reduced the compensation from 3.1 billion US dollars (CTOnews.com Note: currently about 21.483 billion yuan) to 1.85 billion US dollars (currently about 12.821 billion yuan).
A federal judge in Santa Ana, Calif., dismissed business and marketing charges against Apple after a three-week trial process, leaving it to a jury to decide whether Apple committed copyright infringement.
Masimo attorney Joseph Re told jurors in closing arguments Wednesday that Apple poached Masimo employees to learn about its technology after CEO Tim Cook vetoed an internal proposal to buy the company.
Apple denied any wrongdoing, and its lawyer Joseph Mueller told jurors that all employees involved in the development of the oxygen center denied using any Masimo trade secrets on the witness stand.
