CTOnews.com April 30, Mark Gurman mentioned in the latest issue of Power On newsletter that Apple is preparing to make some major changes to the Apple Watch this year, such as the user interface of watchOS 10, with a focus on Widget.

He explained that as a "core part" of the watchOS 10 user interface, he described the new design as "reminiscent of the Siri dial" and similar to the "widget stack", possibly similar to what iPhone and iPad currently look like.

"the plan is to allow users to scroll through a range of different widgets-real-time events, weather, stock quotes, calendar appointments, etc.-without having to start the application," Gurman said. "the new interface will be provided as an overlay of any dial." the overall goal of the new design is to allow people to "access information faster" without having to open App.

Gurman also said Apple is considering changing the Apple Watch's digital crown (Digital Crown) function. In the current version of watchOS, press the digital crown to view the dial or home screen, while in watchOS 10 it opens a new widget interface.

As Gurman said, this is similar to the original "Glances" function of Apple Watch. As far as CTOnews.com knows, Glances appeared in the initial version of watchOS when it slid up from the bottom, which gave it quick access to notifications from various apps, but was eventually abandoned by Apple.
