To get rid of the annoying trailer, the game page of the Steam store can only play two videos on the far left.

CTOnews.com May 4 news, V Society recently quietly adjusted the game details page for the Steam store, do not place a lot of videos in front of the pictures, a maximum of two videos can be displayed on the left, and the rest will be placed after the pictures.

Only two videos can be displayed on the far left side of the ▲ store page

The rest of the ▲ videos are placed at the end of the presentation. In addition, game developers can now mark each video with a category, including general, preheating, live demos, interviews, etc., which will be displayed on the Steam store page to help players identify the videos they are most interested in.

"We found that game developers do not know how best to manage trailers to provide the best experience for players," V explained. Many games produce a large number of trailers during their development, which makes it more difficult for potential players to find screenshots of the game. At the same time, we know that players are interested in learning more about the trailer they are watching. This update aims to solve these two problems and help players understand the games they are interested in more quickly. "

According to the V news agency, game developers do not need to do anything to adapt to the new rules, as any video other than the first two trailers will be automatically placed at the end of the game introduction, but developers are advised to put the two videos that best show the content of the game in front.

As previously reported by CTOnews.com, Steam also recently updated the Beta version of the test client, updating the in-game interface, toolbars, note-taking applications, notifications, screenshot manager and many other tools.
