Today, Amazon launched a new service called "Amazon Anywhere" for game companies, which allows video game developers to sell game peripherals directly to gamers through their respective platforms.

Previously, Wal-Mart, Nike, Gucci, Crocodile and Paxon (PacSun) and other brands have launched some game peripherals. But so far, most retailers have focused on making digital copies of physical goods rather than selling physical goods.

Amazon said today that Amazon Anywhere will be available to any gaming company that wants to turn its platform into an e-commerce site, allowing players to shop through video games, AR apps and other mobile apps.

To this end, Amazon has reached a partnership with Peridot. Peridot is an AR pet game developed by Niantic, the developer of Pokemon Go (Pokemon GO).

In Peridot games, while taking care of pets, players can purchase stuffed animals, T-shirts and mobile phone accessories through Amazon's service and ship them directly to their homes from Amazon fulfillment Center. Of course, this requires players to associate their Amazon account with the game before they can buy goods.

Kellee Santiago, director of Niantic production, said she hopes future versions of the game will provide rewards for players who shop through Amazon Anywhere, an incentive that may attract more players to use the feature.
