Speaking of file systems, Microsoft has now added support for XFS as the root file system type for CBL-Mariner. This change was introduced in the latest version of CBL-Mariner, 2.0.20230426, where the update log states "add XFS as the root file system type", "add XFS support to the installer, and allow Mariner to start the XFS file system".

Add XFS module to grub

This change affects the toolchain, and the test method builds a new VHD and starts it, confirming that the root file system is running XFS. In addition, other Linux file systems have been improved and optimized, including F2FS, Btrfs, and EXT4. In addition, the Linux implementation of Microsoft NTFS File system (NTFS3) will also be optimized.
