Google showed the latest developments in the project again at the I / O 2023 developer conference.

The Project Starline prototype is smaller after iteration. Previous prototypes required hardware such as infrared emitters and special cameras and needed a large room to accommodate them.

Project Starline uses "advanced artificial intelligence to build a realistic human model" and then projects it onto a light field display.
