The scam escalated again, and the fraudster made a profit of $13,000 through AI to generate songs.
CTOnews.com, May 11 (Xinhua) A fraudster used fake online celebrity singer Frank Ocean songs generated by AI on Discord software and swindled 13000 dollars by selling these fake songs (CTOnews.com Note: currently about 90188 yuan), according to Gizmodo.
A Discord user named mourningassasin claimed that he hired a musician to use Frank Ocean song clips to train AI, and then AI produced about nine fake Frank Ocean-style songs. Mourningassasin then posted a fake Frank Ocean repertoire on the forum in early April and forged it into a leaked clip from the recording of the record.
Mourningassasin said he was contacted by two buyers who were the first to enjoy Frank Ocean songs and were willing to pay a high price for them. Mourningassasin told the buyer that he had more Frank Ocean music to sell. According to Mourningassasin, they made about $13000 from selling fake Frank Ocean songs from AI, raising concerns among users about using Discord to commit illegal acts.
