CTOnews.com, May 14 (Xinhua) Brazilian Supreme Court Justice Alexandre de Moraes ordered an investigation into executives of Google and social communications service Telegram on Friday.

The investigation order was issued at the request of Aguinaldo Ribeiro, speaker of the Brazilian House of Representatives. Google was harshly warned for embedding a link expressing an anti-sexual attitude on its Brazilian site before the Brazilian House of Representatives voted on Act 2630, the Anti-fake Journalism Act, in early May.

According to the content of the CTOnews.com inquiry bill, the bill requires Internet companies and social information service providers to take the initiative to take the responsibility of finding and reporting bad information, and to impose hefty fines on companies that refuse to deal with bad information in a timely manner. Google, Telegram and others have been critical of it.
