Tencent's first somatosensory fitness app "Dance Aurora" released

CTOnews.com, May 16 (Xinhua) at Tencent Games's annual press conference in 2023, Tencent's first somatosensory fitness product, Dancing Aurora, was officially released and booked, requiring no additional external equipment, just a smart TV and an Android phone with a camera (under development in iOS).

CTOnews.com learned from the official introduction that Dancing Aurora provides users with two fitness modes:

In somatosensory mode, users can choose to practice with their favorite virtual coach.

The other is the real-life mode, where users' own images can appear on the same stage as their favorite real-life coaches or avatars.

Dance Aurora uses bubble ball judgment in the interaction, which can be used to make more interesting decisions in accordance with the rhythm of the song, which is suitable for professional and leisure users. It also has a score list and a heat list.

The technical core of Dancing Aurora comes from the quality Management Department under Tencent IEG CROS system. The Dancing Aurora team has developed and applied three core technologies, including cloud computing & rendering, AI motion capture and virtual-reality interaction technology.

In the field of cloud computing and rendering, high-speed codec technology and ultra-low delay transmission scheme are adopted, and cloud rendering technology is used to restore the picture.

In the AI motion capture, the most advanced human visual motion capture technology is adopted, which can realize the high-precision recognition of more than 100 individual points.

The self-developed portrait extraction technology can realize real-time 4K hair matting without the assistance of green screen.

Tencent Video Aurora TV, as the exclusive audio-visual platform for "Dancing Aurora", launched the IP animated female troupe Xiaowu, Ning Rongrong and Zhu Zhuqing, featuring the animated theme song "broken cocoon" sung by Zhang Shaohan and "reluctant to part" by Xu Jiaying.
