CTOnews.com May 17, Samsung Electric announced that it has developed the world's largest capacity of multilayer ceramic capacitors (MLCC) for electric vehicles. The company plans to expand its lineup of high-end electronics to accelerate its penetration into the automotive electronics market.

According to recent estimates, there are at least 3000 to 10000 MLCC components in a car, such as its powertrain, safety components, driving-related devices and infotainment systems.

According to reports, the MLCC developed by Samsung Motor is developed as a component for electric vehicles. It is 33nF (125C) at 250V and 10uF (125C) at 100V. As a result, MLCC can now handle the industry's highest capacitors in a MLCC of the same voltage.
