CTOnews.com, May 23 / PRNewswire-Asianet /-- Apple is applying for trademarks for the upcoming first AR / VR head display around the world through shell companies. Following the recent exposure of "xrOS" and "xrProOS", there are two trademarks "realityproOS" and "realOS" exposed.

Narly Kalupahana, a patent lawyer for "realityproOS", found that Apple used a company called Immersive Health Solutions LLC to submit a trademark application called "realityproOS" to New Zealand yesterday.

The company applied for trademark protection for terms such as "Reality One" and "Reality Pro" last year, and Apple is likely to use one of them for the first headline.

The trademark "realOS" is registered by Realityo Systems LLC in Europe in recent days. The company attracted media attention when it filed an application for a trademark called "realityOS" at the end of 2021.

Realityo has applied for the trademark "realOS" in several countries and regions in recent weeks, but it is only described as "computer operating system, integrated circuit computer operating system", which is much narrower than "realityOS".

CTOnews.com Note: the "realOS" trademark in the United States dates back to 2006 and was originally held by Fujitsu and has since changed hands several times. Realityo acquired the trademark in November 2022.
