Microsoft breaks down barriers, Xbox games will land on Boosteroid cloud game platform

Thanks to CTOnews.com netizens for the delivery of clues on the way! CTOnews.com, May 22 / PRNewswire-Asianet /-- Microsoft continues to expand its games to more cloud game services, providing players with more platform freedom and choice. Following a recent partnership with NVIDIA to bring Xbox games to GeForce NOW, Microsoft today announced that it will bring its Xbox games to Boosteroid, a cloud gaming service based in Ukraine.

The Xbox game will be launched on Boosteroid on June 1, giving players from Ukraine, the United Kingdom, the United States and the European Union access to games such as "cycle of death", "War Machine 5", "Grounded" and "Pentiment". Although there are only four games, Microsoft says this is just the beginning, and more games from the company and its studios will be launched on Boosteroid and other platforms in the future.

Subscribers to Boosteroid can buy Xbox games on Steam or Epic Games Store and play them through cloud games. Microsoft said games from Microsoft Store will also be supported soon.

CTOnews.com noted that the UK's Competition and Markets Authority (CMA) had previously rejected Microsoft's acquisition of Activision Blizzard, which the regulator claimed would hurt the cloud gaming market in which Microsoft currently holds more than 60 per cent. To refute this claim, Microsoft plans to bring its games to other streaming services such as GeForce NOW, Boosteroid, Ubitus, Nware and EE.

In today's announcement, Microsoft said: "our goal is to enable people to play the games they want the way they want, with the people they want, where they want, on the devices they want." For those who subscribe to Boosteroid, they can play Xbox's PC games on a variety of platforms, including applications such as Windows, Linux, Android, Android TV and macOS, and even more devices through browsers and webOS. We will continue to put players and game creators at the center of everything, and we are proud to work with Boosteroid to give their members the choice to find and play their favorite games from Xbox.
