CTOnews.com, May 23 (Xinhua) recently, some Twitter users have found that their previously deleted tweets and retweets have reappeared on their home pages. This is another technical glitch on the platform after Elon Musk took over Twitter.

James Vincent, a reporter for The Verge, is one of the affected users. He said that on May 8 this year, he deleted all his tweets, nearly 5000. He remembers that day clearly because he also tweeted that he had deleted everything. However, this morning he found that Twitter had reinstated some of the retweets he had previously deleted. He said that as long as you scroll down his timeline to May 8, you can see these retweets, and if you select "tweets with replies," you will see more.

Vincent is not the only user who has noticed the reappearance of deleted tweets, with users claiming that 34000 deleted tweets have been restored.

It is not clear how common the problem is or what causes it. It may be a problem with the tool used to delete tweets, or there is speculation that Twitter's server may have been moved and accidentally restored the data.

CTOnews.com noted that Twitter's technical glitches have increased since Musk began mass layoffs, and that private tweets have been made public before.
