Hon Hai electric car production is imminent, acquisition of Guochuang semiconductor SiC department to enhance competitiveness

CTOnews.com June 1 news, Hon Hai and Guoju Semiconductor recently jointly announced a new layout in semiconductor strategy cooperation, Hon Hai will acquire Guochuang Semiconductor's SiC department.

Guochuang Semiconductor, a joint venture between the two companies, will transfer its IC and SiC component / module products businesses to Hon Hai's newly established IC design subsidiary for NT $204 million (CTOnews.com Note: currently about 47.124 million yuan), the two companies said in a statement.

In addition, the two will also adjust the ownership structure of Guochuang Semiconductor at the same time. Guoju will hold a 55% stake in Guochuang Semiconductor and 45% by Hon Hai, with Chen Taiming, chairman of Guoju Group, as chairman of Guochuang Semiconductor.
