CTOnews.com June 1, Apple today released the latest iOS 16 and iPadOS 16 statistics. According to current revelations, Apple will announce the iOS 17 system on WWDC, so this should be the last data release before WWDC 23.

Apple says 81 per cent of active iPhone are running iOS 16, up from 72 per cent in February. The data show that 13% of active iPhone is still running iOS 1556% is running an older version of iOS.

Apple also said 71 per cent of active iPad was running iPadOS 16, up from 50 per cent in February.

In about the same period last year, 82% of Apple's active iPhone was running iOS 15, so the figure was roughly the same as in the same period last year. It's worth mentioning that adoption of iOS 16 is likely to decline after Apple launches its $99-a-year iOS 17 developer program.
