Wen Ziren: the movie "Sea King 2" is very different from the first one, and it will discuss more environmental topics of global warming.

Thanks to CTOnews.com netizens for the delivery of clues on the way! CTOnews.com, June 3 (Xinhua)-- the DC superhero movie "Sea King" directed by Wen Ziren has achieved great success since its release in 2018, and its sequel "Sea King 2: the lost Kingdom" will be released in North America on December 20 this year.

On June 2, the Hollywood Reporter released an exclusive interview with Wen Ziren, revealing some highlights of the new work.

Wen Ziren said in an interview: "the tone of this film is very different from that of the first film, the theme is more serious, and will discuss issues such as climate change / global warming. We are not afraid to discuss this kind of topic at great length, because the original comic book of "Sea King" has been environmentally conscious for a long time. The Sea King is a man who works hard to keep the ocean clean and feels more meaningful in the world we live in today. So this movie has a lot to talk about, but it's still an interesting action fantasy movie. "

Wen Ziren also talked about the restart of the universe in the DC movie, and said that it had a certain impact on the filming of Sea King 2, but not much. The translation of CTOnews.com is as follows:

I have to make adjustments all the time. The DC Movie Universe has gone through many different versions, and one of the challenges of this movie is to track the main story that is happening. Fortunately, the Sea King universe is far away from other DC worlds, and we are going to many different underwater kingdoms that are not necessarily related to what happens to other movies / characters, so we are somewhat independent.
