CTOnews.com, June 3, according to TechPowerUp, Ruiyu (Realtek) unveiled its RTS5490 HUB controller at the Taipei computer Show, which should be its first USB4 HUB master.

According to reports, RTS5490 supports speeds of up to 40 Gbps, has one uplink port and four downstream ports, is compatible with Lightning 3 and USB 3.2 Gen 2x2 (20 Gbps), and supports the latest USB PD 3.1 power supply standard. In addition, it natively supports DisplayPort 2.1 video transmission.

At present, Ruiyu has not announced when the docking station with this scheme will be launched.
