Wu Hequan said that the 5G-A cycle is between 5G / 6G, in view of the problems found by 5G business, for the industry after 2025 and new applications such as VR / AR, to develop and release the potential of 5G network. 5G-A has an order of magnitude improvement in performance compared to 5G, with the goal of 10 Gigabit experience and 100 billion connections. This will pave the way for 6G innovation to generate greater social and economic value.

At present, the mobile phone penetration rate in China is 120.9%, and it is estimated that 5G users will account for 50% of the mobile users of the whole network in a year's time.

Wu Hequan said that the digital economy will drive the construction of a new type of digital infrastructure and accelerate a new round of innovation in communication technology: first, the Internet has entered the dominant period of IPv6; second, optical fiber communications have entered the F5G growth period; third, mobile communications have opened a new cycle of 5G-A; fourth, the industrial Internet has entered a tough period of IPv6; fifth, it has entered a transitional period of evolution to a general-purpose AI; and sixth, cloud-network convergence / computing network cooperation has entered puberty.
